GENERAL DESCRIPTION: NanoDrive 6.1 is a VGM/XGM music player driven by an ESP32-S3 microcontroller. It is designed to play music from the Mega Drive, Sega System 1, Sega System 2, YM2203 (FM sound only), and systems using up to two SN76489 chips. Both YM2612 and YM3438 chips are supported. Set the selector switch on the board according to the chip you use. PLEASE CHECK BELOW IN ADVANCE: - YM2612 or YM3438 FM sound IC is not included in this kit. Please prepare it separately. - This kit is an amateur hobby product. Please understand that I cannot provide support like a commercial product. - Firmware v3.0 is already written to the microcontroller. All main boards, LCD units, and SN76489 chips are checked for operation before shipment. - You are solely responsible for creating, obtaining, and using VGM and XGM files. This kit cannot correctly play all VGM files. Some files may work correctly in emulator environment, but may not work correctly with this player. - The creator of this kit (Fujix) takes no responsibility for any trouble, damage, or other problems resulting from the assembly or use of this kit. Please enjoy it at your own responsibility. KIT CONTENTS: The kit includes all parts required for assembly except the YM2612/YM3438. Main board (ESP32-S3 pre-programmed and other SMD components pre-installed), LCD module, film capacitors, two PSG chips (SN76489), op-amps, buttons, switches, volume control, knobs, screws, spacers, case, non-slip feet, and manual. Every main board, SD card reader, LCD module, and PSG chip has been individually tested before shipment. WHAT'S NEW IN NanoDrive 6.1: - Updated power circuitry significantly reduces digital noise and supports most USB 5V power supplies. - Improved analog audio circuitry. - Replaced discontinued DIP audio-grade capacitors with Nichicon UCQ audio-grade chip electrolytic capacitors. - All surface-mount components are now pre-installed. Only DIP components require soldering. - The unit is approximately 6 mm thinner. - Major software updates add a variety of new features.
